Amaura has arrived to write a page in the short history of soul in Portugal. After years of collaborating with rap artists, and having made her name on albums such as O Processo, by Beware Jack and Blasph, O Amor Encontra-te no Fim, by Fred, and Forever Young, by TNT, she claimed her own space. Although he flapped his wings in hip-hop, he moved to other regions of the geography of black music.

In this necessary and natural process of self-recognition, it was in soul and r&b that he found shelter. A voice of her own, made of romanticism, charm and existentialism, without forgetting the long cultivated taste for poetry. The inaugural Em Contraste brought together previous singles such as Blues do Tinto, Dança and Surfista da Banheira, and immediately established her as a singular figure on the scene. In parallel, she accompanied Sam The Kid in the historic comeback concerts of the patriarch of Portuguese rap. In 2023 came the successor Sub-Espécie, an internal liberation after the loss of her mother. The album starts from an immense emptiness to transform and elevate itself, both as a celebration of life and as an ode to self-love. Divided into three parts, each with its own producer (DJ Player, Tayob and Iuri Rio Branco), he is joined by guests Capicua, Fred (Orelha Negra), João Gomes (Orelha Negra, Fogo-Fogo) and New Max (Expensive Soul).
